The Footwear Wash cleaning spray is used for the care of waterproof shoes that have a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) membrane coating (such as Gore-Tex, Gritex, etc.). The performance of the DWR can be diminished by dirt, as residues that accumulate on the shoe's surface block breathability and damage its water-repellent properties.
