Holy and blessed is the city of Piraeus, enriched with sacred relics of saints, which are preserved in almost all the churches of the Holy Metropolis.

This book references: the saints who sanctify Piraeus, those who lived and acted within it, and those who merely passed through the boundaries of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus. It is a local hagiography.

The main obstacle to documenting these saints lies in the fact that all but one were merely passersby in Piraeus, with the exception of one who rested there. The others either lived for a specific period, worked for their livelihood or in a missionary capacity, or simply visited the city and departed.
