Description

Most suitable for: Ficus, Palm, Peperomia, Pachira.

Promotes robust growth and keeps Ficus happy.

The Ficus soil mix provides the perfect structure mimicking the original habitat of the Ficus.

Contains ±180 days of nutrients. Socially responsible production.

The use of the mix is easy! Start by removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it sideways to loosen the plant.

Run the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove the last pieces and bits. Remove any dead foliage that may still be on the plant using scissors.

Add a small layer of Ficus mix to the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and slowly add Ficus soil to the sides to fill.

Ensure the point where the roots meet the plant is just buried under the Ficus soil. Lightly tap the Ficus mix into the pot.

Water the Ficus mix well after transplanting, as this helps the mix and roots settle.

Ficuses typically have large, bulky roots. The extra bark and perlite give the roots the space they need. The added activated charcoal detoxifies the roots from rot and mold problems.

Combine it with extra horticultural sand for a denser and better-draining mix.

Most ficus plants enjoy bright light, however, be cautious of direct sunlight as this can burn their leaves. Make sure to keep the temperature above 15°C.

Ficus prefers relatively high humidity. Wait for the top of the ficus mix to dry out before watering again, as they do not like to have wet roots.

Ficuses grow quickly and require a steady supply of nutrients.

Ingredients of the SYBASoil Ficus mix:

  • Coconut coir
  • Activated charcoal
  • Worm castings
  • Coconut bark chips
  • Perlite
  • Horticultural sand
  • Organic nutrients
