Scudotex below-knee stockings feature graduated compression of 23–32 mmHg and open toes. The mesh knit allows the skin to breathe, while the reinforced heel and flat seams are features of their construction. They are intended for use in cases of venous insufficiency, varicose veins, phlebitis and oedema.

Indications also include thrombophlebitis, post-operative use following varicose vein surgery, sclerotherapy, and injuries and fractures of the lower limbs. It is recommended to put them on in the morning, when the legs and ankles are rested. When putting them on, gently unroll the stocking upwards, taking care to avoid wrinkles so it fits properly around the ankle and along the calf.
