One of the most important scientific questions today is: What is the relationship between the human mind and the rest of the universe? In other words, how can a world that is essentially meaningless contain meanings?

The approach to this question from the perspective of neuroscience is that mental functions are part of the physical world, that the interpretative tool for understanding them is rationalism, and that the "machine of the mind" is the brain.

The human brain is the most complex structure in the universe that we know of, and it is the result of processes that occurred over millions of years of evolution. And the brain of each of us is the result of the combined action of our genes and our experiences, especially those in the early stages of our lives.

It is extremely difficult to understand the structure and function of the brain because, in stark contrast to artificial intelligence products, the brain was not created to achieve a specific goal based on the principles of a particular design. Natural selection, the engine of evolution, is solely responsible for its creation.
