In the tropical climate of Peru and from the sacred -according to the Mayans- cacao trees, the seeds of cacao, variety Criollo, are harvested.
The ground seeds are pressed, creating the cacao mass which will melt and then solidify into pieces of circular shape. There is no processing at high temperatures, thus preserving the nutritional properties of cacao.
