    It is a plastic cover that has a cotton woven top, it gets very hot in the summer, gives the feeling that you are sleeping on a very cheap mattress, the mattress underneath does not breathe... I put it on at first to protect the mattress... but I took it off after a month. It does not provide a good sleeping experience
