Posthuman places players as one of the last surviving humans in a world where nature is reclaiming the planet and evolved descendants are working to eliminate us. Will they resist mutation and survive, or will they succumb to the inevitable and become part of the evolved?
In the game, players are humans on a solitary journey to a promised safe haven. This journey takes them through ten zones, with the zones being randomly generated and tile-based. As they travel, they encounter each other, other humans, and mutated posthumans. Encounters with the mutated can cause marks, and the more marks players have, the less human they become and the more posthuman.
Will they try to hold onto their humanity and race to the safe haven, winning the game? Or will they succumb to the ever more enticing mutation, join the posthumans, and deny victory to the remaining humans?
