The powerful DEWALT Brushless motor and Pack ID technology allow this tool to deliver more power when paired with an 18V XR POWERSTACK or XR FLEXVOLT battery. The 70 mm plunge depth enables you to complete more applications, while the ergonomic trigger switch, plunge lock lever, and variable speed provide consistent accuracy and flexibility on the job site. The integrated dust extraction, AirLock compatibility, and built-in wireless tool control offer incredible dust management.

Brushless Motor

The advantage that brushless motors have over brushed ones is that they do not have friction since there are no carbon brushes. Without carbon brushes, the motors are more efficient and have a longer lifespan as there is no wear and tear (the carbon brushes in brushed motors wear out with use). They produce less noise, maintain their torque consistently at all speeds, do not overheat, and require no maintenance.
