This review is about the edition: Standard

Good game but with some small flaws
    1) It's very slippery, my goodness... you can't cut through, there are many trees and ground where you slip on the dirt. Sometimes, to figure out how to get to a certain point, it's a real struggle.
    2) As in Assassin's Creed, I preferred to play with the female character who was stealthy. The samurai was uninteresting to me and I only used him when the game forced me to.
    3) I didn't use the powers anywhere. I finished the game and didn't use them even once as a sample.

P.S. For me, as I said so far, Assassin's Creed Odyssey was the best of all. As a second choice, Shadows comes for me

Very beautiful game visually, but this time it doesn't satisfy you like the previous ones. Quite 'dry', with a repetitive quest pattern, which makes you feel like the game is a loop. I found it pointless to change players, especially Yasuke who is a heavy character and very boring. Nothing caught my interest this time and I didn't even bother to finish it because I got bored, and I even gave it a second chance after a while just in case, but nothing changed. The most boring game in the series.

The game has received a lot of unfair hate. It is truly beautiful. Amazing graphics. It's very nice that the two characters have different styles, I don't have a preference, I like both of them equally. Each one is for a different approach, for example Yasuke can't walk on ropes, and Naoe can't lift or move objects. I have 30 hours so far and I can't say that I've gotten bored like I did with Mirage, for example. Okay, many things are repetitive as in all the recent games (challenges and various things like that for ability points). The map is satisfactory, though for me, just like in Valhalla, it has too many things. The skill trees are quite good because they adapt to the playstyle you want with the different weapons. The system with the base where you build and upgrade buildings I personally find unnecessary, as well as the option to call reinforcements from various characters in the game, I prefer to do everything myself. Also, change the language to Japanese.

This review is about the edition: Standard

Having played all the previous ones, I have to say it felt mediocre to me. Apart from the beautiful graphics, after a certain point some things become repetitive and pointless/tiring.

It's nice that you can choose to play either as an assassin/stealth with Naoe, or with more brutal hand-to-hand combat with Yasuke.

In many ways, it reminded me quite a bit of Ghost of Tsushima, with Assassin's Creed gameplay. Large open world, with plenty of things to find. Its combat is also nice.

On the negative side, I had to restart/load the game several times as the player would glitch, either suddenly getting stuck out of nowhere (without any reason!!!) between a roof and objects, or sliding in a fall and remaining permanently sliding, or a mission would end and you couldn't move/escape from the spot you were standing. And many more...

In conclusion, in my eyes, it doesn't reach Valhalla and Odyssey. Equally huge in duration, but more tiring.

As a fan of the whole series and after about 14 hours in the game, I have to say the following:
    The gameplay is mediocre.
The world, graphics, sounds, etc. are flawless.
Missions/story, they're not bad but they didn't excite me either.
    It's nice, I'd say it's Assassin's.

After many failures, the company finally released a game that you enjoy putting on and experiencing.

In general, it has received a lot of negative comments from which 90% of users haven't even seen the trailer.

Anyone who likes open world Samurai settings will not be disappointed here

This review is about the edition: Standard

Having played the previous last generation AC games (Origins and after) and having played this one for over 60 hours and finishing it, I can say that it is not the best of the generation. It has a lot of content, very enjoyable battles, the graphics, even the stories of the two protagonists are interesting, though they don’t really add anything to the overall story. The seasonal changes they added can get tiring at times, with dense areas of greenery that you sometimes can’t get through, the sliding on mountains is excessive, the loot is quite pointless compared to Valhalla, it felt like they had nothing to offer from Japanese history compared to the older games. Very repetitive, after the story this becomes even more tiring.

Finally, the climbing at times on some mountains is almost non-existent, even in places where it’s obvious you should be able to climb. If I had to rank it, I’d put it 3rd, below Valhalla and Odyssey, also considering my personal experience playing

Nice game, long in duration. Beautiful graphics and mechanisms (e.g., season change). On the downside is the support from the company. A lot of content is added sporadically over time. Features are missing, e.g., smoother parkour, DLC for the continuation of the story, as they will come with future updates.

From the entire AC series, I had only played Odyssey. It is much improved and well-crafted. If someone likes AC, they will love it. If they haven't been involved with it like me, they will still like it. If they don't like AC, there is no reason to bother. Its world is beautiful. Its English audio is terrible, so I played it in Japanese with subtitles. Nice story and enjoyable gameplay with both characters! It is quite a good game but after a few hours it becomes very tiring!

This review is about the edition: Special

Very nice graphics, good motion during combat, but it's the same game concept as in the previous assassins with a different wrapping, resulting in it becoming tiresome. Fans of the series should definitely get it, as it contains many accurate historical details, the Far East was missing from the series which has been a long-standing request from many fans, but don't expect anything different. As it seems, Ubisoft doesn't change its established path. Also, as much as I played, I fortunately didn't encounter any bugs! Finally, personally, I was tired of the many cinematics. I won't go into other details to avoid spoilers except for the following. SPOILER ALERT: The colored samurai is a real bulldozer and the meaning of the battle is lost...

the best. New release ASSASSIN (Origin and after). Incredible graphics on QLED with 120hz and ALLM and VRR you feel like you're watching a movie.
Put dialogues in Japanese (another level) the experience it offers as a whole.

I've been playing Assassin's Creed since 2007 when it first came out.. until Syndicate it was truly an Assassin's Creed game. Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla are very good games but not Assassin's. They strayed with Ubisoft's experiments, mythology, monsters, fires, etc. Having played Ghost of Tsushima twice (an amazing game), I wondered how difficult it is for Ubisoft to create such stealth combat, etc. Of course, Ubisoft started their games with the first Assassins with impressive parkour, so we could say that Ghost copied from there. Neither of these is true. Ghost and Assassin are different games. Play Shadows, it's worth it; Ubisoft is on the right path with this game and finally brings amazing stealth and parkour with modern graphics

Finally, Ubisoft has found its footing again and released a very decent AC. The stealth has improved significantly, the combat is as challenging as it needs to be, maybe a bit more "easy," I would say. What can one say about the location and the graphics? Simply wonderful.

I played it and I can say that it impressed me but not that I said (Whoa whoa what's going on here?? I will only say that in GTA 6). Overall, it seemed good to me although I was very afraid of this particular game. I don't know, maybe we're talking about one of the best Assassin's... Also, I have set it to Japanese and Portuguese where it fits better than in English...

I think after Black Flag and the Ezio series, a decent Assassin's game mainly in stealth that we all know! Gameplay is of course better crafted than the previous ones and graphics superior to the previous ones as well!

  • Good game but with some small flaws

  • Very beautiful game visually, but this time it doesn't satisfy you like the previous ones.

  • The game has received a lot of unfair hate.

  • Having played all the previous ones, I have to say it felt mediocre to me. Apart from the beautiful graphics, after a certain point some things become repetitive and pointless/tiring.
