Sniper Elite Resistance for PS4 combines sniping, stealth and tactical third-person combat in a covert operation in occupied France. Working alongside the French Resistance, the player must eliminate a dangerous target of the Reich, choosing between multiple targets and infiltration and escape points. The X-ray kill cam returns, while advanced physics shows how bones deflect bullets and create unpredictable trajectories through enemy bodies. Submachine guns and pistols also trigger slow-motion multi-kill sequences.
The campaign can also be played in co-op, with the ability to share weapons and items and help each other in combat. The main campaign features propaganda posters that unlock missions in which the player takes on the role of a French Resistance fighter. Axis Invasion also returns, letting one player invade another player’s campaign as an Axis sniper.
