The patented Ultra-Sil® fabric utilizes high-strength nylon Cordura® threads. This nylon is stronger and more abrasion-resistant than standard nylon fibers of the same weight.
Our Cordura® thread allows us to create stronger and long-lasting products in our range. We use two different versions of 30D Ultra-Sil®: Sil/PU and Sil/Sil depending on the purpose and use.
- Sil/Sil 30D high-strength nylon coated with silicone on both sides, offering tear and abrasion resistance.
- In this case, the silicone-coated fabric has self-healing properties when punctured and water resistance of 600mm.
- Sil/PU 30D high-strength nylon coated with silicone on the outer side and with polyurethane (PU) coating on the inside, offering water resistance greater than 2000mm.
The silicone outer surface acts as a protective barrier against water, while the PU coating enhances seam waterproofing.
