Neurodiversity is one of the most urgent political issues of our time. As diagnoses of autism, ADHD, and other types of neurodivergence increase, we are beginning to understand that there is no "normal" brain. However, society is still organized around neuronormativity, and autism is treated as a disease.

Jodie Hare, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of twenty-three, argues that it is time to redefine the politics of our identity.
