The sizing on these shoes is incorrect. I'm American, I wear an American 10.5 (mens). In Europe, this has always translated to a 44 (maybe a 43). I ordered a 44, and the shoe I got was labeled as an American 10 and a European 44, and it was too small, so I believe whoever did the "translations" for shoe sizes here simply screwed up. If you normally wear a 44 and order a 44, you aren't getting a 44.
I traded for a size up, got my American 10.5 (EU 44.5 on this shoe), and it's still on the tight side, especially by the toes. I am going to keep them because I believe once I break them in, they will not be so tight, and otherwise I find them comfortable.

Compared to my size 47 in Nike or Adidas running shoes, the equivalent I wore in this one was so tight it felt like I was wearing a size 44. Beautiful shoe and sturdy, but excessively tight and small compared to what someone is used to in running. Unfortunately, I didn't keep it. Definitely try it on if you have the chance.
