Sniper Elite: Resistance for Xbox Series X is a tactical action and third-person shooter set alongside the events of Sniper Elite 5 in occupied France. Harry Hawker, an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), joins forces with the French Resistance to eliminate a new Wunderwaffe that threatens to secure a Nazi victory. Different Kill List targets and infiltration and extraction points offer choices in how you complete missions.
The campaign can also be played in co-op, with the ability to share weapons, items, and tactical advice, as well as help each other during combat. The X-ray Kill Cam shows the impact of your shots, while the ballistics system takes gravity, wind, and heart rate into account. Weapons can be customised and upgraded at workbenches, with options for scopes, stocks, barrels, magazines, and ammunition.
Propaganda Missions add time-limited objectives as a fighter for the French Resistance. In Axis Invasion mode, one player can invade another player’s campaign as an Axis sniper. The game also includes competitive online battles for up to 16 players and a survival mode for up to 4 players.
