They grow next to rivers and streams in a large area that is cultivated year-round. After two years of maturation, when their height is 7-8 meters and diameter is 26 - 32 cm, they are cut in winter.

After processing, only 2-3 meters from the base are kept, and the rest is either burned or used as bamboo. Then, the tubes are cut and the knots are removed.
