With the first issue of Playing Piano While Singing, we inaugurate a new piano method for children and a new educational proposal authored by the renowned pianist and composer Takis Farazis, which will be completed in three issues.

The author, utilizing his many years of teaching experience, seeks to introduce our little friends to the world of music and the piano in a simple, captivating way, through a modern teaching approach adapted to the needs of the time, hoping to inspire teachers and students alike, and that the book will serve as a valuable aid in their shared journey.

The characteristics of this method are:

• The experiential way of learning music, particularly through the use of the voice (I listen, I sing, I play), an element that aids in the development of the student's auditory ability, musicality, and imagination.
• The teacher's "accompaniments" which allow the student to feel the stability of rhythm, the different moods of each piece, and the joy of sharing a rich auditory experience with their teacher.
• The online audio material accompanying the book, designed to make the learning process easier and more enjoyable for both students and teachers. The audio material can also assist students struggling with reading the score, providing them with a valuable tool in the process of learning the pieces.

Includes:

• The recordings of the pieces in full form (piano-vocal-accompaniment).
• Only the accompaniment so that the student can practice alone.
• Mimicry games where the student learns to play simple musical patterns on the black and white keys without the score.
• The imaginative, cheerful illustrations, which provide a pleasant visual environment for young ages.
• The appendix of musical terms and symbols, which includes the basic elements of music theory and interpretation necessary for understanding the pieces and conveying the musical nuances.
