Suction Filter CA-MI M03.1.003

Ca-Mi antimicrobial suction filter that protects against liquid intrusion into the suction device. It is made of hydrophobic material to prevent liquid intrusion. It protects against bacterial contamination. In case of water entry into the filter or if there is an indication of contamination or discoloration, it should be replaced immediately.

Suction device in general

• They consist of a vacuum pump, a regulator and vacuum meter, one or two fluid collection bottles, plastic connecting tubes, and an antibacterial filter.

• The use of a portable suction device can assist a patient when they are unable to remove their own secretions.
• This includes patients receiving palliative care, individuals with chronic illnesses, or patients who have undergone a tracheostomy.
• For managing such chronic illnesses, sputum suction devices are available.
• Suction is achieved through the negative pressure produced by the portable suction devices.
• The pressure creates a vacuum effect that draws any fluid out of the throat.
• The secretions are then automatically distributed into the collection container.
• Home suction devices facilitate the suction of phlegm and tracheobronchial suctioning.
• The collection container is recommended to support the use of filters to prevent contamination of the internal components of the aspirator.
