  • Maximum WLAN Speed

    Theoretical maximum speed with one wirelessly connected device, mainly used for marketing purposes. The speed that each connected device will have depends on the distance, obstacles, how many other devices are connected, how many other networks exist in the same area, etc.

  • Ethernet Ports

    Wired connection capability through an Ethernet network port. It allows connection via Ethernet cable, ensuring a stable and reliable connection, high data transfer speeds, and reduced interference compared to Wi-Fi.

  • Frequency

    The frequencies at which the Access Point can transmit.

The wAP ax offers fast and reliable Wi-Fi 6 in rural areas or any other demanding environment – such as a gas station in the countryside or a bus stop. The legendary waterproof design of the wAP has been tested for several generations around the world and remains a favorite among MikroTik users for its simplicity and durability.

A powerful dual-band, dual-chain radio (2x2 MIMO) ensures fast and reliable wireless connection both indoors and outdoors.

Wi-Fi 6: More Than Just Speed

Without a doubt, Wi-Fi 6 is much faster both in the 2.4 GHz band (speed increase up to 90%!) and in the 5 GHz band (up to 40% faster!), but it offers much more. Wi-Fi 6 provides significantly improved energy efficiency and security. OWE/WPA3-PSK/WPA3-EAP encryption and management frame protection help prevent all kinds of attacks, such as brute-force and Deauthentication attacks.

The device features two Gigabit Ethernet ports, with PoE input on one for flexible power options. You can also use the standard DC jack – because we believe in giving you choices.
