Description

The Women of the Jasmine Café is generally a work of fiction, however, among the characters described, there are some real people. Mrs. Stella, for example, who was indeed a customer at the playground my mother ran many years ago. A beautiful friendship developed between them despite the significant age difference.

As a percentage, some real events are described, and there are also personalities that resulted from the merging of two or more individuals. Two of the characters portrayed are no longer alive, but they will forever remain in my heart, and I thank them for being a great source of inspiration for me.

Despite the harsh and unpleasant events of certain chapters, the novel is infused with notes of optimism and hope, with the ultimate goal of leaving a sweet smile on the reader's lips.

If I have space for a few thank yous, I would like to express my gratitude to my niece, Sophia, for all the messages that began with "Do you have a moment?", for the miles we walked together in the narrow streets of the Upper Town, and especially for our friendship all these years, and another big thank you to my partner, Vasilis Bodosas, for his harsh criticism, for his support, for listening without complaint all day, and mainly because everything he gives me cannot be described with words.
