In a small provincial town of Minas Gerais, Rozalina lives shut away in an old mansion. The irritable Colonel Lucas Prokopiou started building it, and her father, Joao Capistrano Honorio Kota, continued the work. Cut off from the entire town, Rozalina's only companions are Kikina, her mute maid, and the stopped clocks of the mansion. Until the arrival of Zuse Felisiano or Zuka Pasarino will forever transform the repetitive daily life of the unique heiress of the Honorio Kota family.
The masterpiece by Autran Dourado, a tragic, baroque opera with captivating literary craftsmanship, has been included in the UNESCO Representative Works List and is one of the most important works of Brazilian literature of the 20th century.
