The educational science toy features a spider powered by salt water and a DIY construction kit, with no batteries or rechargeable cells required. Assembling the spider develops manual dexterity and logical thinking, while operating it helps children understand the use of alternative energy sources. Once water is added, the spider can move for 4–6 hours.

The set includes assembly parts, a motor, a dropper, magnetic plates, sponges and step-by-step instructions. A glass, salt, a small stick, a flathead screwdriver and cutters may also be needed to complete the assembly. To stop the spider, remove the wet FC unit, wipe it with a dry cloth and put it back in the toy.
