The Tascam FR-AV2 audio recorder records two channels and supports 32-bit float recording at sample rates up to 192 kHz. Built-in timecode synchronization and jam-sync support make it easy to synchronize audio with cameras and external timecode devices. It features two combo XLR/TRS inputs with 48 V or 24 V phantom power and a 3.5 mm stereo input.

The Ultra HDDA preamps deliver exceptionally low noise, while the dual A/D converters support a wide dynamic range. The device features a 2-inch color LCD and a built-in 2×2 USB audio interface. With the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter, it supports wireless audio monitoring and timecode synchronization with Atomos UltraSync Blue devices.
