Review this product
  • In one photo on Skroutz, the crimping tool appears with 6 jaws, while in another it appears with 4. The code written on the tool is 6-4A for 4 jaws and 6-6A for 6 jaws. The product I received from Neostore had 4.

Overall, a very nice set with many colored ferrules. The very small and very large ones I will probably never need.

I struggled a bit to understand how the crimping tool works because it has a "ratchet" function, so as it closes it can't go back to open, and it only opens when it reaches the end of its travel. It also has a screw to select hardness, but I left it somewhere in the middle and it seems to work for all sizes with similar results (?) so I won't touch it again.

After crimping, the ferrule is not always perfectly square and I suppose a more precise crimping tool would do a better job, but that's a minor detail.

In conclusion, it's a good set for someone to start with and a very useful tool that has excited me. I don't know how I managed to work with flexible cables for so long, connecting them and having them fray and never stay in place; now the connections are a dream!
