The Distar Diamond Disc Sharpener is used to restore the cutting performance of diamond discs that have become blunt while cutting hard, non-abrasive materials such as gres, marble and non-abrasive ceramics. Sharpening is performed by making longitudinal cuts across the abrasive bar.

The package includes one bar measuring 250 × 50 × 25 mm. For a diamond disc on an angle grinder, cuts should be up to 5 mm deep, while for a disc on a tile cutter they should be up to 10 mm deep; 10–15 cuts are usually required. When using an angle grinder, securing the bar with a clamp is recommended.
