A tribute to Greek Nautical Tradition is the collectible calendar of 2025.
- The first part includes exquisite aesthetic engravings and prints (16th-19th century) depicting ports and scenes from the maritime life of Greeks.
- In the second part, through black-and-white artistic photographs and aerial photos, the everyday life in the ports and on the docks is presented, as well as the history of the country, which is intertwined with the sea, from the second half of the 19th century, the Balkan Wars, and the two World Wars. Additionally, the rise and evolution of Greek shipping from 1946 onward is documented.
- Finally, in the third part, black-and-white and color depictions of Greece's stone lighthouses dominate.
The collectible images for this edition have been graciously provided by the Naval Museum of Greece, the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, the National Historical Museum, and the Lighthouse Service of the Hellenic Navy.
Lighthouses and ports, therefore, have different perceptions depending on their view from the sea or the land. However, lighthouses and ports are always carriers of emotions that run deep. As we leaf through the collectible calendar, let us allow our imagination to bring the images to life, filling our souls with feelings.
