How can we understand and explain what happened in PASOK following the recent internal party elections (October 2024) for the selection of the new leadership? The texts featured in this volume essentially support the thesis that, with the candidacy of Charis Doukas, a new political division has emerged, one between postmodern confusion, that is, chaos, and order, the disrupted order of liberal and democratic representation, as we have known it in Greece, albeit with its familiar post-memorandum peculiarities or distortions, in relation to the European or Western representative norm. This division has made its appearance here as well, seeking to radicalize and overturn the balance of political and social forces.

Toward a new movement-oriented, marginally anti-systemic, politico-cultural leftism, communal and value-based, with a "social mark" and "rights-oriented." This orientation is reinforced by the disintegrative phenomena that dominate the broader area of SYRIZA, feeding the delusions about the formation of a "neo-populist front," a "left social democracy."
