The Axagon enclosure for M.2 NVMe SSDs turns an internal drive into an external storage device with a 20 Gbps USB-C connection. It supports single- or double-sided M.2 SSDs with an M or B+M key in lengths 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. The device controller must support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 to achieve speeds of up to 20 Gbps, while the actual transfer rate reaches approximately 2 GB/s.

The aluminium body and thermally conductive pad help cool the SSD, while the side vents promote airflow. The enclosure supports UASP, TRIM and S.M.A.R.T., as well as Hot Plug connectivity and booting from an SSD in the external enclosure. It comes with a protective silicone cover and a 38 cm USB-C cable.
