Description

The Doulton Ultracarb® water filter is a combination of a ceramic filter and a compact activated carbon filter. It is externally made of ceramic material with a permeability of 0.5 μm, which has been impregnated with silver, and internally made of compact activated carbon. It is a filter where water is filtered in 4 stages:

Stages

  • 1st stage: At the beginning, water enters the outer surface of the filter, which is made of ceramic material, and all particles with a diameter greater than 5 μm are filtered there. This also acts as a pre-filter. For the best performance of the filter, it is recommended to clean its outer surface by washing it.
  • 2nd stage: The infusion of silver on the outer ceramic surface of the filter helps combat bacterial growth.
  • 3rd stage: Then, the water, free from bacteria, enters the interior of the filter, in the compact activated carbon. There, it is filtered from chlorine, organic and volatile compounds, unpleasant taste and odor, and removes heavy metals from the water, such as lead.
