It works perfectly, it's just that what I didn't know is that such thin and external CD Drives are slower than regular internal 'thick' ones. Other than that, it does its job just fine.

on windows 10 it didn't work for me....on windows 11 perfect....it even read dvds that were stuck in the dvd player (which was a bit old though, so let's not blame it)

It is a cheap and honest choice for an external DVD drive which connects via USB to the computer. I use it on the latest macOS (Tahoe) without any problems and without needing to install any software.

Connects to Windows and Mac. For the latter, you need a USB-C adapter. It provides free software for Windows. So far I haven't had any problems. It's plastic, not meant for rough handling.

It was used and is being used for reading CDs (ripping to the computer, so I can have the files on a USB stick). I have burned a few data CDs and it works just fine, it's just expensive.

Good for the money (27€), although it doesn't seem very sturdy.
It hasn't been tested on all tasks, such as DVD writing.
However, it does have interruptions in playing music CDs.

It is not compatible with all devices. Specifically, it is not compatible with the new Samsung TV. It works fine with a laptop. I would not recommend it for purchase.

I don't know why other users hear noise; for me personally, it is silent and fast, while before I had a Buffalo brand and it made noise and didn't read well

I have not previously purchased a similar product to have a comparison measure.
However, it does what I bought it for.

At first, I was excited because it only has one cable that connects directly to the USB. However, when I held it in my hands, I realized that it is not well-made - very thin and fragile. The fourth time I tried to watch a DVD, it got stuck and never came out again, nor did it open so I could remove the DVD - I tried everything but nothing worked. In the end, I had to break it to at least save the DVD.
I do not recommend it to anyone, I would never buy it again - it's better for someone to spend a little more money to get better quality!

I had some old CDs with photos and when it read them, it made a very loud noise... nevertheless, it did its job, it is definitely durable (you will understand once you hold it) and it is affordable

Until now it plays all the old DVDs I had. It had no problem recognizing the DVD. Ideal for computers that do not have a built-in drive in their case. It sounds slightly when reading but specifically in movies, mainly in the menus and not so much when the movie is playing. For its price, it is decent.
The only negative is the short cable. It is quite short (60cm). If you connect it to a PC, it needs to be next to or on top of the PC.

Perfect. It reads all my old CDs and DVDs flawlessly. The data transfer speed is satisfactory. Its small size and the fact that it only requires 1 USB are its positives. It is compatible with Windows 11/10/8/7 and can be connected to a television. The package includes a 50cm cable.
The secret to connecting it to a television is, while the drawer is open, press and hold the button for 2 seconds. Once the LED lights up, it means it has entered TV mode and will work like a conventional USB stick.

I have copied about twenty ancient VCDs to my computer using a simple program called cdburner, and it did everything quickly and easily... The computer has Windows 11... Now, the fact that it has a plastic casing doesn't bother me because it is lightweight and very aesthetically pleasing..!!

Good at its job, not very good build quality. Connected easily without any drivers. The speed is average to fast. I believe it will not have any issues in its performance.

Very good choice, worth their money. I bought it on March 23 and I have to say that in 2024 coffee spilled everywhere, I wiped it, dried it, and it still works! It really is worth the money!

For use on a Dell Laptop: you simply take it out of the box and connect it to the USB. It works immediately, I didn't need any special software, the computer recognized it right away. Even iTunes on Windows recognizes the CD immediately. Very good purchase!

I have it for almost 4 months to play some old games that I had on CD! It works great, it does its job, the only downside is that it has a short cable. Everything else is fine

There are many comments from other people, I will only focus on the positive ones because it deserves it.
Now, the really nice thing it does is that it also plays as a DVD on the television. I have read several reviews saying that it doesn't play, they should read the instructions carefully because it requires a simple adjustment and it will play perfectly.
