H.P. returns by train for a few days to the place where he was born, a border town in Northern Greece, with the intention of selling his family home. With a folder full of documents, he wanders the streets searching for a notary office and a city that probably no longer exists.
With bloodshot eyes and a hoarse voice, he endlessly and hurriedly babbles, monologuing, talking to strangers, as well as to those who take every opportunity to judge him, mock him, and condemn him. H.P., a defenseless figure, comical and tragic at the same time, magically permeates the city, springs up where he is not sown, sticks his nose everywhere, provokes and is provoked, becoming a topic of discussion.
Amidst gaps in memory, fainting episodes, considerable existential confusion, and grotesque incidents, the narrative "follows" breathlessly the meandering, uncertain path of the protagonist. A journey through or out of the Acheron of memory, an adventure of existential anxiety in a ghost town of the 1980s.
