This book was written with the aim of contributing to the education of students in Physical Education and generally for teachers of Physical Education. This effort focuses on providing advice and opinions aimed at the proper response of instructors to the needs and requirements of successful teaching.
At the beginning of the work, the essential elements of the most important systems of the human body are mentioned, so that we can understand their function and better comprehend the movement mechanism. These elements will be very useful in applying methods and techniques to improve the physical condition of the trainees.
Next, the discussion turns to aerobic exercise. The goals, concerns, and prospects for the future are outlined. The means (kinetic material) of aerobic exercise, music, lesson planning, teaching methods, types of classes, methods of developing exercises, guidance, and choreography are discussed.
Following is the analysis of teaching exercises with a platform (step). Methods for teaching the basic steps of the step are mentioned. The correct posture of the body is emphasized, and exercises for muscle strengthening, stretching exercises, and exercises that should be avoided are described.
In summary, this work is the product of studying many Greek and foreign texts, scientific announcements, as well as our personal research and experience gained during the teaching of the course at S.E.F.A.A. (School of Physical Education and Sports Science) in Athens and in many private gyms.
