The Fideco SATA/IDE to USB 3.0 adapter connects 2.5- and 3.5-inch HDDs and SSDs, as well as 5.25-inch optical drives, for data transfer. It supports transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps and drives with capacities of up to 16 TB. Offline cloning copies data from an IDE or SATA1 drive to a SATA2 drive without connecting to a computer, while the LED indicators show progress in four stages.
Two drives can be connected simultaneously for data transfer: IDE as the source and SATA2 as the destination, or SATA1 as the source and SATA2 as the destination. For offline cloning, the SATA2 drive must have a capacity equal to or greater than that of the source drive. The adapter is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux, as well as USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, and requires no driver installation.
