    It does its job as promised. I worked it on Windows 11. No software installation was needed. I tried an old 3 GB IDE and some Sata drives, as well as an SSD. It recognized them all. So if it doesn't recognize a drive, it will be the drive's fault. The only downside I would give it is that it has a short USB cable, like all devices come with nowadays
