The AEC AM01 alcohol meter performs contactless measurements without replaceable mouthpieces and can be used consecutively by multiple people. It has an accuracy of ±0.01‰, stores the 5 most recent readings, and self-calibrates when switched on. The color LCD is backlit for reading in the dark, and the illuminated risk indicator uses green, yellow, and red colors, with an audible signal to indicate when to start and stop blowing.

It is operated with a single button. When switched on, a countdown for warm-up and calibration is displayed, while the breath test takes 10 seconds. If alcohol is detected, wait 2 minutes before taking the next measurement to allow the sensor to ventilate. The built-in battery provides up to 200 measurements and is charged via USB Type-C.
