Nurit Iskar, a former successful writer of detective novels teetering on the edge of a midlife crisis, takes on the task of covering for a newspaper the account of her investigation into the murder of a wealthy businessman in one of the most expensive private suburbs of Buenos Aires.
Together with the young crime-reporting journalist, the veteran Jaime Brena, and under the supervision of the newspaper's director and her former lover, Nurit will uncover a murderous pyramid that is still being built.
She will reflect on death and love, observe the passage of time upon her, question herself as well as every form of power around her.
She will ponder the meaning of truth and how "the way of everyday life, the mundane, even the banal, intertwines with crime in a blend that strips the drama from terror and makes the everyday terrifying".
