The Count Your Chickens board game by Peaceable Kingdom is a cooperative thinking game in which players help Mother Hen gather the chicks and return them to the coop. Taking turns, they spin the spinner, move around the board, count the spaces and collect the number of chicks shown, while keeping an eye out for the fox. Everyone wins if they gather all the chicks before Mother Hen reaches the finish line.
The game helps children learn to count, wait their turn, cooperate and follow directions, without requiring them to read.
