The Kingsburg: Edition includes the most updated rulebook and the best expansion modules developed from the 1st edition, such as soldier tokens, governor cards, and additional buildings. The kingdom of Kingsburg is under attack by monstrous invaders aiming to plunder the realm!

The player takes command of a province on the border and is tasked with managing their province to defend the kingdom. They must influence the king's advisors to gain valuable resources such as gold, wood, stones, and soldiers. Other players are also trying to collect the best resources, adding competition to the game.

The game lasts five years, a total of twenty rounds. In each year, there are three production seasons for collecting resources, constructing buildings, and training troops. Every fourth turn is winter, where all players must fight an invading army.

• Resource management is achieved through the advisors in the king's council.
• Players place their influence dice on the Council members to earn resources or soldiers.
• The player with the lowest sum of influence dice chooses first where to spend their influence.

At the end of the five-year period, the winner is the player who best developed their area and satisfied the king through the Council.
