One of audio explorers' delights, the M1 features an exclusive lo-fi button that allows you to blend various lo-fi parameters into each program. From swirling, rich sounds of the '80s to subtler effects that give your tone a distinctive character, this is a signature feature for all types of modulation enthusiasts, offering endless creative possibilities.

Each program can be fully customized to your taste and playing style with the left encoder button for functions such as effect type, BPM, waveform shape, and more. Refer to the manual for specific program features.

The M1 features three different types of programs for each program, as well as many other special program controls for each of the six programs. Chorus From subtle chorus to vibrant and rich tri-chorus that will instantly teleport you to the '80s. Type I is a traditional chorus ideal for tight soft chorus tones. Type II finds its roots in the classic tri-chorus effect, running three chorus sections in parallel for a rich multi-dimensional chorus. Type III transforms into a sweeping, vintage-style flanger, a welcome addition for modulation fans. Phaser Classic 70s Phaser sounds that we all know and love, with additional features you wouldn't expect. Similar to the Lillian, Type I is a 2-stage Phaser producing a single notch compared to the classic mild Phaser. Type II is a 4-stage model producing 2 notches for a stronger effect. Type III is a phaser designed after the unique resonance and LFO shape found in a Uni-Vibe.

This program simulates a tremolo with three algorithms that include all the bells, whistles, and stereo spread options. Type I is excellent for traditional sounds similar to optical and bias tremolos that raise and lower the entire frequency range – similar to the Monument in standard mode. Type II is a warm and cozy harmonic tremolo – similar to the Monument in harmonic mode. This unique sound is formed by raising and lowering the high and low frequencies opposite each other. Type III offers many preset patterns for rhythmic pulsing sequenced tremolo. Vibrato Create wonderful nice parts with detuned, lush, and vintage sounds reminiscent of the '60s. Type I "Traditional" focuses on typical vibrato sounds. Old turntables inspire the "Vinyl" Type II with classic revolutions per minute on the rate knob and some noise character you would find on your dad's old dusty LPs. The rate knob can select speeds of 33 rpm, 45 rpm, and 78 rpm in this mode. The "Tape" Type III is our take on the wow and flutter pitch characters found in old tape decks. Warm and charming with a touch of nostalgia.

Because you can't place a Leslie speaker on your pedal, Type I aims for that traditional watery sound of a well-oiled Leslie speaker. Type II rotates only the horn but still plays the sound out of the drum. Type III rotates only the drum but still plays sound from the horn. Further adjust the drum sounds by experimenting with the microphone distance on the program's controls.

 Add tone shaping movement to your signal with differently shaped filters. Type I is a low-pass filter suitable for shaping darker tones. Type II is a high-pass filter used for creatively shaping your low frequencies. Type III is a band-pass filter that forms a sliding "window" of frequencies. Resonance, envelope speed, and release can all be adjusted in filter mode, resulting in dynamic sweeping sounds and an expressive touch, commonly heard in blues or funk. This program can easily be executed as an Envelope Follower type filter. 

The M1 features 6 universal Lof-Fi type controls to make the High-Fidelity shaping machine sound… not so High-Fidelity. Using the Right Encoder button, turn your signal back in time and downgrade it to sound like past technology, then use the Lo-Fi button to adjust the overall mix.

Env: The Envelope allows you to dynamically open the tone based on how hard you play.

Drive: The Drive offers a crisp analog-style drive added to your signal, simulating the warm sound of an overdriven analog circuit.

Space: The Space allows you to add some reverb to the shaping chain. Turn to the minimum to disengage and turn up to increase the mix and decay.

Age: The Age uses a composite set of filters used to simulate the limited bandwidth of vintage audio playback devices and recording equipment. From modern, full-frequency at least to subtle low-fidelity sounds at lower positions and old, thin AM radio sounds at higher positions.

Noise: The Noise adds analog lo-fi inspired noise to your signal.

Warble: The Warble manipulates the main LFO waveform shape causing its distortion making the shaping interesting and less predictable. 

The M1 can store up to 128 built-in presets, which can be held in a preset bank accessible by pressing the bottom left and bottom middle buttons simultaneously. Presets 0-9 are divided into Banks A, B, and C. Select a bank while in the preset menu. Bank A will cycle through presets 0-2, Bank B will cycle through presets 3-5, and Bank C will cycle through presets 6-9. Presets 10-128 are accessible via manual selection or MIDI.
