When we went to see him, he had the blessed habit, when he was in a state of Grace and prayer, to tenderly embrace us like a father, improvising prayers and blessing us.

Many times his breath, his exhalation, gave you the impression that he had opened a barrel of fragrance and that all that aroma was wafting out. I remember once, in a particular instance, I took a deep breath. And he says to me: -Are you having difficulty? -I can't, Elder. Something smells, I tell him. -The Name of Christ is fragrant, he replies. He was in a state of prayer.
