I have the best parents in the world! Sometimes my dad hits me with a belt. Once I had seen in a Greek movie someone hitting his son like that. Since then, every time my dad hits me with the belt, I feel like a movie star. My mom keeps nagging me to study because my grandparents didn’t have money to send her to school. Once I told her that if she wants to go to school since she missed the chance, then I’ll stay home and play housewife. She slapped me hard. I’ll talk about my siblings another time because I’m tired now. Besides, they don’t live with us like normal siblings.
I have the best friends in the world! Thanasis is my best friend and he sits next to me at the desk. We like to play many games, and some of them we don’t talk about, we keep secret. He doesn’t let me talk about them because last time I did, we got beaten. Then there’s Athena and Sofia, who also sit next to each other in our class. Athena is strong and they call her a tomboy, and Sofia wears glasses and is Wise like an owl. We love each other so much! I love Thanasis, Thanasis loves Athena, Athena loves Sofia (but doesn’t say it), and Sofia loves me. We are the best students in class! I am because I copy from Thanasis, and Athena because she copies from Sofia. Sometimes though Athena forgets to change them. Once she copied exactly Sofia’s “I think and write.” When the teacher asked them what happened, I jumped up and said, “Great minds think alike!” and everyone laughed. I am good only at “I think and write” when I try. But I like “I think” better. “I write” I get bored with.
