With the second volume of Living My Life, the autobiography of Emma Goldman is completed. Starting from the early 1910s, it covers some of the most creative years of her life in the USA, which culminate in her two-year imprisonment and deportation in 1919 to Matoushka Rashiya, as she refers to her homeland.

The two years she spends in Russia constitute a pivotal part of her work as she describes the hopes she harbors for the dynamism of the Revolution and the gradual disillusionment that culminates in the tragedy of the violent suppression of the Kronstadt uprising.

Through her personal journey as a woman anarchist, political activist, and charismatic speaker with diverse interests, we witness the historical panorama of the first decades of the 20th century across three continents: North America, Russia, and Europe. Major labor strikes, World War I, the Russian Revolution, radical artistic movements, struggles for the self-determination of the female body and birth control, all of these events became fields of expression and action for Emma Goldman.

Her path intersects with personalities that defined their era on a political, social, and cultural level.
