The squid jig from Shimatsu is a classic squid catcher with additional sinkers on the top to securely hook the cunning squid. The same goes for the octopus, which cannot be held without such a size of sinker, especially if its size is large.

What adds value to its efficiency is the good weighting. When the squid jig is lowered, the large sinker floats high above the bottom, making snagging much more difficult and its appearance much more enticing.
