Tasteless. No resemblance to what the packaging describes (bourbon barrels, vanilla, double maturation, spices, etc.).

Generally, I prefer single malt over blended and I decided to try Cardhu as I had never bought such a bottle before. I bought this particular one because it claims to have a double maturation, so I expected it to have a very rich aftertaste. I take my first sip and it is quite smooth compared to others and less sweet for its type. I expected the aftertaste to be at least stronger in flavor, but unfortunately, nothing. It's not a bad single malt, but I have tried much better ones at the same price. Unfortunately, I will not choose this one again.
