Reflecting the silhouette of a seated man, the The Sitting Man lamp from the Scandinavian company 101 Copenhagen is a lightweight sculpture with a lit glass sphere positioned in the center of a spiral composition. The intricate structure is a perfected balance between form and weight, aesthetics and functionality, with an effort to challenge our perception of shape and light.
When turned off, the ceramic material is in the same shade. But when lit, the structure reflects light in different directions.
