Trigger Heart Exelica, a famous shooting game with mechanical elements that was released in arcades in 2006, has finally been re-released on the Nintendo Switch.

In addition to Arcade Mode and Story Mode, Arrange Mode and Training Mode have also been added, as well as Vertical Screen Mode and Internet Ranking Mode.

A soundtrack with additional arrangement sources will also be included. This is the culmination of all the efforts made by shooting fans for this title.

Far away, in a system so remote that its starlight never reaches Earth, a war was nearing its end. Exelica and Crueltear - humanoid weapon systems called Triggerhearts and developed by C.H.I.L.D.A., an interplanetary defense organization - were sent to join the battle against the autonomous battle unit Ver'mith.

• In the midst of the battle, just as they were gaining control of Ver'mith, Exelica and Crueltear were accidentally sent to Earth through an emergency gate activated by Ver'mith.
• Isolated on an unknown planet and unable to return home, the wounded Triggerhearts felt desperate as they had no means to know the outcome of the battle.
• Just when they had recovered from their injuries and began to consider Earth as a refuge... it happened. A nightmarish vision filled the sky.
• The remnants of the Ver'mith forces had arrived. The gate had reopened... Although the Ver'mith forces had left at the same time as Exelica and Crueltear, the instability of the gate caused a delay in their arrival.
• The Ver'mith had chosen Earth as their new base of operations. The invasion had begun. Exelica and Crueltear knew they had no choice but to fight to protect their new home.
