Debt and History, two words synonymous with today's Greece and the Greeks. Debt, a negatively charged word, a burning issue of management for leaders throughout history from Hammurabi and Solon to Constantine the Great.

Is the issue of debt monetary, or is it merely a reflection of collective morality, a result of a customary adoption of the religious framework as it has been bequeathed to us? Perhaps debt is Morality, and the differing perceptions of it among societies are nothing more than the subjective view of capital;

What is the evolution of the perception of capital between East and West, and what are the expectations on both sides? What was the education and culture regarding capital during the years of Ottoman rule? How did they shape the Greek Orthodox Morality concerning debt?

Can Greek society understand the Protestant Ethics of the West? What did we fail to do for decades as a state, and what can we do now? How can we find the thread that will serve as the springboard to accept ourselves and to develop a new realistic and creative understanding of things?
