The digital alcohol tester uses an electrochemical sensor and features a backlit LCD with a four-digit display. It measures alcohol concentration in a range of 0.00–3.00‰ (1.50 mg/L) and can display readings in %, ‰ or mg/L.

Measurement preparation takes 10 seconds, followed by a further 10 seconds for the measurement. The device features an exhalation flow interruption sensor, a measurement counter and automatic power-off. Exceeding the permitted alcohol level is indicated by a change in the display colour, while “HI” appears when the measurement range is exceeded.
