We all know Popeye to some extent, or at least we've heard of him. His name has become known through movies, video games, cartoons, and of course, comics. Internationally, the creation of Elzie Crisler Segar managed to connect with an entire spectrum of generations, from 1929 to the present day.
Bud Sagendorf (1915-1994) is the creator with the longest-running career in the Popeye comic strip. He created many dozens of stories of the beloved sailor, both in comic form and in daily and Sunday newspaper strips, and enriched the universe of our favorite sailor with many new characters while deepening the existing ones.
In Greece, Popeye became very popular through the magazines of the publishing house "Dragounis" that were available at kiosks from 1973 to the mid-1990s.
However, for practical reasons, the stories underwent changes.
