The board game Invincible: Escape from Mars is a social deduction game for 4–10 players, who try to find their teammates, board the rocket and escape from Mars. Alliances can shift during the game as players take on the role of astronauts or heroes trying to return to Earth without bringing back a parasite that threatens the world.

Each round, players face an obstacle as a team. On their turn, each player can contribute a card to overcome it, place a card in their personal backlog or use a card with a special ability. Resolving the obstacle can result in a win for the astronauts, the Sequids or neither side. The first team to earn 3 victories wins immediately; if no one wins before the seventh round, players can launch the rocket. Those who have completed their personal backlog can board, and before launch, players vote to remove any infected players.

The game offers a simpler option of playing as an astronaut or a more challenging one of playing as one of 9 unique superheroes, who protect the astronauts and have more powers. The role choice does not change the overall balance of the game.
